SMART FY 2024 Support for the Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program Application Guidance
In this webinar, the SMART Office grants supervisory program manager, a grants management specialist and a senior policy advisor discuss eligibility, goals, objectives, deadlines and how to prepare an application for FY 2024 SMART FY 2024 Support for the Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant (AWA). This year, the FY 2024 AWA solicitation offers the opportunity for applicants to seek grant funds for activities large in scope and scale. This may benefit, for example, Tribal jurisdictions whose registration activities support multiple jurisdictions.
Applicants may also use this opportunity to undertake an initiative to advance their registration and notification systems, for example, by enhancing inter and intra-jurisdiction information sharing. As such, applicants may apply for up to $600,000. Regardless of the scale of the application, any application that seeks over $250,000 must demonstrate a clear connection between the proposed activities and further implementation of Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act's (SORNA’s) requirements.
