New Grants and Payment Management Systems Coming October 2020!
On October 15, 2020, the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) will transition to the Justice Grants System (JustGrants) for all grants management activities and to the Department of Treasury's Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP) system for grants payments. The SMART Office administers grant programs relating to sex offender registration and notification authorized by the Adam Walsh Act Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 and other grant programs as directed by the Attorney General.

Information about applying for all Office of Justice Programs grants can be found at the OJP Funding Resource Center, including information on the OJP grant process, how to apply, grant performance measurement and progress reporting requirements, and post-award instructions.

PLEASE NOTE: In preparation for the transition to the Department of Justice's new Justice Grants System (JustGrants), as of September 23, 2020, the Grants Management System (GMS) is no longer accessible for external users. Data is currently being migrated from GMS to JustGrants. This includes all open, active awards and any awards that have not yet reached final closure. Once migrated, all award management activities will take place in JustGrants starting on October 15, 2020.
