The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) proposes to use grant funding to continue a paralegal position to assist the Sex Offender Registry Office with legal administrative matters. SLED also proposes to continue employment of an auditor/trainer who will provide consistent statewide training to ensure that all sheriffs offices are aware of SORNA requirements. In addition, two administrative positions will work on solving protocol issues from local jurisdictions, troubleshooting input problems with SORT, ensuring jurisdictions capture biometric information and assisting personnel with absconders and deportees.
