Miami Tribe of Oklahoma SORNA Program

The goal of this project is to continue funding the salary for the full-time SORNA officer position. The SORNA Officer will 1) provide the service of providing child ID kits to family members of the Tribe and community at Tribal events; 2) attend the Sex Offender Monitoring Task Force and actively participate in their strategic efforts to improve the safety and security of the community; 3) provide education to the construction contractors on tribal lands about the Tribe’s requirements for sex offenders to register with the Tribe; and 4) maintain the Tribe’s Sex Offender Registry and Notification records and procedures and provide reports to the Business Committee.
