Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $150,000)

The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department (CCSD) is requesting grant funding to support salaries for personnel to enhance SORNA activities. CCSD will confirm the registered addresses of sex offenders; initiate criminal investigations if information obtained refutes a registered address; enhance law enforcement and other criminal justice agency information sharing within and between jurisdictions; provide support for coordinated interagency efforts to enhance implementation of SORNA requirements; and improve information sharing between the county’s sex offender registry and other entities in the county.
