Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $381,325)
The goal of this project is to enhance and maintain Virginias implementation of SORNA by improving the ability to verify the identity of sex offenders at registration and re-registration to ensure accuracy. Implementation of an enhanced Sex Offender Registry system is currently in the development process and is scheduled to be completed in June 2020. Part of the new enhanced system will be electronic submission of forms to the registry as well as an interface, which will allow the submission of fingerprint data to AFIS. CA/NCF
