Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2019, $400,000)
With these funds, OPS proposes to train prosecutors, law enforcement, probation and parole, and other criminal justice agencies that prosecute, register, monitor and track sex offenders in Alabama; utilize a SORNA resource prosecutor to be available 24 hours per day for prosecutors, law enforcement, probation and parole, and other criminal justice agencies that prosecute, register, monitor and track sex offenders; and provide officer safety training to law enforcement who register, monitor and track sex offenders. All of these are necessary tools to ensure compliance with SORNA. CA/NCF
