SMART FY 2024 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program: Vermont Department of Public Safety

The Vermont Department of Public Safety will use AWA funds to address challenges around combining multiple data sources. The Vermont Crime Information Center has identified the primary goal of this project as maintenance of offender compliance and enforcement of SORNA requirements through improved sex offender data. To attain this goal, proposed activities include completing targeted offender investigations to reduce non-compliance levels; producing a physical and tangible reference guide for law enforcement officers and agencies statewide; and continuous assessment of implementation to work towards SORNA compliance.
