SMART FY 2024 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program: North Dakota Office of the Attorney General

The North Dakota Office of Attorney General (ND OAG) Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) will use AWA funding to address multiple challenges to implementing and maintaining SORNA compliance, including noncompliance with NSOR's requirements to report individuals' additional DOB records; base and supplemental vehicle records; management workflows for expired licenses and license plates; and monthly NSOR record validation. SORNA systems are managed by the BCI of the ND OAG. BCI partners with the ND OAG’s IT/CJIS division to keep the system operating and to ensure rapid information sharing continues between local law enforcement, BCI, and NCIC/NSOR.
