Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2024, $245,950)

Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) will use AWA grant funds to support three projects, including (1) NCIC processing enhancement and customizations, in which IDOC will contract with a to be determined vendor to address the accuracy of records in NCIC/NSOR (where the vendor will assist with entries to NCIC/NSOR for offender relocations, auto population of certain NCIC fields, automating the clearing of offenders in NCIC); (2) NCIC staffing to help clean and update existing data, which will supplement the work being carried out under prior year funds and includes the hiring of a project facilitator who will work with the counties and the state's vendor to clean and update registration information in Indiana's registry and in NCIC/NSOR; and (3) to assist with reviews for large counties and miscellaneous reviews to make registry requirement determinations, in which Indiana will hire a project facilitator to assist Indiana's four largest counties in making registration determinations; and for training of employees.
