SMART FY 2024 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program: Mississippi Department of Public Safety

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety will utilize AWA grant funds for procurement contracts. The first contract includes conducting a statewide training symposium for all Mississippi sheriff’s offices and other criminal justice agency personnel responsible for sex offender registration, notification, monitoring and investigation of failure to register cases and sex offenses. The second contract includes standardizing an IT-based solution with the tools necessary for a state or law enforcement agency to identify, collect, and validate erroneous and missing sex offender.
