FY 2023 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program

Pennsylvania will use AWA grant funds to support personnel costs for state and local law enforcement to investigate the statutory requirements of the absconder population; support state police costs related to the case review requirements established by Pennsylvania Act 10 of 2018 and additional reviews associated with the pending Commonwealth v. Torsilieri case and other related cases while continuing to adhere to the requirements of SORNA; support state police costs related to training regional law enforcement officers involving the requirements of SORNA; and provide critical support and resources provided by the Pennsylvania Office of Victim Advocate, who partners with the state police to assist them with victim notification.
