FY 2023 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program

The Massachusetts Department of Public Safety will use AWA grant funds to enhance its registry database by promoting efficiency in offender communication and understanding to include updating the translation alert page, conducting a file-scan project to scan historical paper files into the system, working with police departments to cover training, education and providing best practices information in sex offender compliance, and increasing public awareness about sex offender registration information (schools, public housing agencies and social service entities responsible for protecting minors).
