FY 2023 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) plans to maintain SORNA substantial implementation by implementing case management legal analysis and investigative operations for the Florida Sexual Offender Registry. To accomplish this effort, the grant funds will be used to hire an attorney to provide litigation and legal research support, as well as officers and intelligence analysts to assist with the investigations of noncompliant offenders and failure to register cases. The funds will also support the development and dissemination of education resources and community outreach to promote local law enforcement use of the FDLE’s mobile sex offender application.
