FY 2023 Support for Adam Walsh Act Implementation Grant Program

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation will use AWA grant funds to upgrade its current software to allow for the interface of OffenderWatch records with other state data systems. The AWA grant funds will support the procurement of Livescan equipment for local sheriff’s offices. The funds will also support the procurement of Mobile fingerprint units which will allow officers to complete verification of registration information in the field. These activities will support the state’s registration system and increase its accuracy.
