The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska will use AWA grant funds to enhance its SORNA Program by adding personnel dedicated to implementing increased monitoring and investigation of sex offenders within the tribe’s jurisdiction, including a more comprehensive, sustainable and practical approach for the registration of sex offenders. In addition, funds will be used to maintain the tribe’s SORNA website in compliance with federal regulations, receive training for new SORNA staff and purchase a vehicle dedicated to SORNA activities.
