The Cherokee Nation will use AWA grant funds to enhance community awareness and maintain jurisdictional implementation of SORNA; provide training and technical assistance to jurisdictions within the Cherokee Reservation who are implementing SORNA; update Cherokee Nation’s sex offender policies and laws; and facilitate information sharing and access between the state of Oklahoma and the Cherokee Nation by providing resources to improve infrastructure and technology.
