The Northern Arapaho Tribe is seeking funding to continue the implementation process of the Adam Walsh Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) on the Wind River Indian Reservation. The Northern Arapaho Tribe is requesting federal funds to 1) continue to employ the Program Director and Compliance Officer to tend the SORNA program objectives; 2) continue to promote public safety through the use of the WRSORNA Program Director/Compliance Officer (Public Safety Officer); 3) continue to work with other jurisdictions through information sharing as it relates to sex offender registration, tracking, notification, compliance, and accountability; 4) continue to keep the Eastern Shoshone Tribe updated and knowledgeable of the program progress; 5) continue to attend SORNA Containment Meetings with other jurisdictional personnel; and 6) continue to update and keep current records of all registered sex offenders within the jurisdiction.
