FY 22 AWA Grant Program: Spirit Lake Tribe

The Spirit Lake Tribe will use grant funds for the continued implementation of SORNA and enhance its current registration/notification. Funding will support technology and equipment enhancements, increase community notification and education efforts, and develop new strategies to support compliance checks. Activities will include digitizing paper files, developing community education programs on sex offender topics and/or collaboration with intratribal organizations, and continuing to work with tribal, federal, and state officials to coordinate information sharing of offenders' employment, education, and residence.
