FY 22 AWA Grant Program: CNMI Department of Public Safety - Office of Grants and Special Programs

The Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Department of Public Safety will utilize funding to enhance the Sex Offender Registry and ensure the compliance of all registered sex offenders. Grant funds will assist in maintaining the operational level on the island of Saipan; continue to develop the Sex Offender Registry Unit on the islands of Tinian and Rota; increase public awareness, as well as victim and public safety; focus on certification and training for law enforcement officers and the program manager; and enforce officer safety, specifically while conducting field compliance/verification checks.
