FY 22 AWA Grant Program: Iowa Department of Public Safety

The Iowa Sex Offender Registry provides the public information about registered sex offenders, conducts investigations concerning violations of the registration law, and works with local law enforcement partners and the U.S. Marshals Service on a routine basis. Grant funds will support improvements to the Iowa Sex Offender Registry by enhancing the support and maintenance of technical systems, improving the registration and criminal justice information sharing processes, enhancing efforts to locate and apprehend absconders, supporting address verification and providing public safety. In addition, funds will assist in providing accurate, efficient and timely information from the registry to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the National Sex Offender Public Website.
