The Alaska Department of Public Safety (DPS) manages the state’s Sex Offender Registry (SOR) and will utilize funding to replace the current module that resides on a legacy mainframe system. The DPS will contract with Computer Projects of Illinois (CPI) to modernize the legacy mainframe criminal history repository. The CPI module will enable the DPS to implement SORNA requirements more fully for the immediate transfer of information and will enable the state to comply with the SORNA community notification requirement.
