FY21 Rhode Island Department of Public Safety Support for Adam Walsh Act

The Rhode Island Department of Public Safety will use grant funds to maintain support of the Sex Offender Registry staff positions — the program coordinator and the program analyst — which are essential to the overall integrity of the registration and notification process. Funding will also support the yearly subscription fee for OffenderWatch, as well as the long-term project of digitizing all existing hard copy sex offender records, which will help the state move closer to SORNA compliance, and enable all agencies to obtain accurate, consistent information in an efficient manner.
