FY21 Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety Support for Adam Walsh Act

The Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety (OSTDPS) will use grant funds to support ongoing SORNA activities within the jurisdiction, including two compliance officers, office equipment, and supplies; enforcing the SORNA ordinance, code and internal procedures; sustaining and growing working relationships with the state and surrounding jurisdictions; and planning for the improved monitoring of sex offenders’ location and status through address verification and spot checks with the help of compliance officers. Activities will also include enhanced community awareness and safety; reporting and follow-up for non-compliance; and compliance officer training.
