The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community plans to enhance its police department’s SORNA units by supporting a detective position, which will be fully trained and equipped to respond and perform the sex offender registry, notification, compliance and capabilities of the program. The position will further enhance law enforcement and other criminal justice agency SORNA-related information sharing within the jurisdiction, as well as between outside jurisdictions.
