Wyandotte Nation is requesting funds primarily to maintain its sex offender registry and participate in the Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website. Funds will assist the Tribe by providing a full-time SORNA officer, providing a database to collect data, supporting a memorandum of understanding with a countywide SORNA task force, assisting in the development of a community education program on sex offender topics and safety planning, providing a fingerprint identification reader, and providing an opportunity to collaborate with intratribal organizations and local schools to sustain and support the tribe’s sex offender registration and notification program.
