FY21 Northern Mariana Islands Department of Public Safety Support for Adam Walsh Act

The Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Department of Public Safety intends to invest the 2021 grant funds in maintaining its operational level on Saipan island and to continue developing the Sex Offender Registry Unit on Tinian and Rota islands. The program proposes to increase public awareness, as well as victim and public safety; focus on certifying and training law enforcement officers and the program manager; enforce officer safety; continue to apply and implement program goals and objectives; conduct home visits; and ensure that CNMI is in compliance with SORNA implementation requirements.
