Kashan Arnold is a grants management specialist in the Office of Sex Offender Sentencing, Monitoring, Apprehending, Registering, and Tracking (SMART). Ms. Arnold manages numerous awards under SMART Office grant programs, including the Adam Walsh Implementation Act grants. Currently on a detail to the SMART Office, Ms. Arnold was previously the staff chief for OJP's Office of the Chief Financial Officer's Budget Formulation and Appropriations Division. In this position, Ms. Arnold oversaw and managed OJP's budget formulation operations and led the critical formulation phases of the budget, including planning, organizing, and reporting on the development and justification of OJP's $5 billion agency budget. She also led the formulation of OJP's drug budget, as required by the Office of National Drug Control Policy. Ms. Arnold began her career at the Department of Justice in 1995 as a budget assistant for the Justice Management Division Budget Staff.
Ms. Arnold received her Bachelor of Arts in English literature with a minor in business administration from Howard University. She also has a Certificate of Public Leadership from the Brookings Institution's Executive Education Fellowship Program.
